- 8 Anchor positions for rebar installation to prevent floating.
- 4 Drainage ports on each 4' section for 3" or 4" pipe.
- Stainless Steel hardware - no rusting.
- Joints slide together and are secured with hardware.
-Sumps/catch basins available.

Custom Trench Drain Grates
- All Trench Grates are available in: Grey iron, Ductile iron (65-45-12), Aluminum, C854 copper alloy (yellow brass).
- We have grates to fit most common preformed trench systems. Please contact the design department for specifics.
- Order by the linear foot and send us the layout, we will match the right grates and pre-size frames.
- Right angle corners are available for all grate sizes and styles.
- Select sizes and design styles available in H-20 Vehicular rating.
- Radius Trench Grates available.
Advantages of Linear Drains
- More effective drainage & hydraulics.
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Grates are secured to the channel base when driving over. No shifting or movement.
- One way or two-way slope.
- Linear or radius layout.
- Effortless design.
- Sloped & stepped systems to prevent ponding.
- User friendly maintenance.
- Prefabricated outlets.
- Ideal for larger drainage areas.
Challenges with Cast In Place
- Substantial formwork and labor required to create the trench.
- Porous concrete absorb oils, greases, chemicals, and liquids. This leads to unpleasant smells and channel degradation.
- Demanding labor to create a sloped system and self cleaning profile.
- Systems are made larger than necessary.
- Systems are not Load Rated as per EN1433.
- Grates are not secured to the channel base.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What is a Trench Drain?
A: Trench Drain is a specific type of floor drain containing a trough or channel-shaped body. It is used for the rapid evacuation of surface water. Channel Drains have a grating that is flush with the adjoining surface, while Slot Drains consists of a drainage pipe with a thin neck (or slot) that opens at the ground surface with sufficient opening to drain water.

Q: Are Trench Drains expensive?
A: Systems range in price depending on the width and type of materials used. At CT Distributors Inc. our experts will work with you to find a system that fits your requirements and budget.

Q: Do Trench Drains need to be sloped?
A: Trench Drain Systems can have a continuous slope, stepped sloped, combined slope or be neutral. For systems that are longer, a slope can help the water drain to the outlet.

Q: What is the best material for a Trench Drain?
A: The application, location, temperature exposure, and chemical exposure are all factors when determining the best material for your project. Our experts will ask you a series of questions to determine the best material for your project.

Q: Why use a Trench Drain?
A: Trench Drains are installed in areas where water, oils, greases, or chemicals tend to collect. These liquids can cause damage to building foundations, driveways, structures and the environment so it's important to divert it quickly and efficiently.

Q: Do Trench Drains get clogged?
A: With proper design and maintenance you will be able to prevent dirt and debris from building up and clogging your system. Our systems are built with the end user in mind for hassle free servicing.

Q: Can you install Trench Drain in existing concrete?
A: Yes! We can recommend a contractor in your area who can provide you with a quote on cutting your existing concrete and installing a system.

Q:What is included in a Trench Drain system?
A: A Trench Drain System typically made up of channel bases, grating, end/outlet caps, installation brackets, and a sump pit if needed.
Q: Can I Make Corners or Tee’s?
A: Our systems come with prefabricated tee's and elbows or are easily modified onsite. Ask your representative on the available options when choosing a system.
